OFFICIAL ENTER & WIN CONTEST RULES / To enter, go to the United HEMISPHERES Web site at hemispheresmagazine.com, click on "Contests," complete the official entry form, and offer comments (optional). Entries must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. November 30, 2008. Limit one entry per e-mail address. Each entrant must be a legal resident of the United States, 18 years of age or older, and a United Mileage Plus member. (Enroll in United Mileage Plus at united.com—click on the Mileage Plus tab—or call 800-421-4655. All United Mileage Plus program rules and conditions apply.) Entrants also agree to receive HEMISPHERES' e-mail newsletter. Employees of United Airlines and Pace Communications Inc. and members of their immediate families are not eligible. The winners will be selected in a random drawing among all entries at Pace Communications Inc., 1301 Carolina Street, Greensboro, NC 27401, on or about December 15, 2008. Entrants agree that HEMISPHERES has the right to publish their name, city, and state of residence if they win the contest. Federal, state, and local laws apply. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. No substitution of prizes. Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. Odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of entries received. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for entries that it is unable to process due to network, hardware, or other technical failures, or for any other reason, or for entries that are incomplete, damaged, illegible, misdirected, or lost. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrants it deems, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process, operation of the Web site, or any offi cial rules. Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the promotion if it deems, in its sole discretion, that it is not capable of completion, due to reasons including infection by computer virus, technical problems, or force majeure. Use of automated entry devices or any other act that could impede the integrity of the contest is prohibited. Entrants must have Internet access by November 30, 2008, to be eligible. The following prizes will be awarded: 15,000 bonus miles under the United Mileage Plus program, to be deposited into the winner’s existing or newly created Mileage Plus account (United Mileage Plus program terms and conditions apply; see page 83, and two sets of Bose QuietComfort Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones (one QC3 set and one QC2 set). Approximate retail value of nonmileage prizes: $648. All taxes are the responsibility of the winners. The winners will be notifi ed either by e-mail or telephone. If no response is received within 10 business days of notification, prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be chosen.
